OUT-OF-HOURS, CURATOR-LED PRIVATE TOUR OF THE GILBERT COLLECTION AT THE V&A
Join us for an exclusive insight into the Arthur and Rosalinde Gilbert Collection – one of the world’s most important collections of Decorative Art built in the 20th century, exclusively curated for THE CLUB. With infinite taste and connoisseurship – the glamour couple who had moved from London to Los Angeles in the 1950s, have acquired throughout their life the most exceptional pieces of micromosaics, silver, and snuff boxes. One can say that the Arthur and Rosalinde Gilbert Collection is to Objets d’arts what the Getty Collection is to Fine Art.
Alice Minter, Senior Curator of the Gilbert Collection at the Victoria & Albert Museum, will not only share with us the passion that animated these incredible art collectors – she will also invite us to intimately discover and handle some of the Collection’s treasures displayed at the V&A – and may reveal secrets that these masterpieces carry.
This will be a special opportunity to visit the V&A galleries dedicated to the Collection outside of public hours, and discover some fine masterpieces with a renowned specialist in the field.
