EXCLUSIVE TOUR OF DAVID ADJAYE’S INAUGURAL EXHIBITION AT CARPENTERS WORKSHOP GALLERY’S NEW SPACE IN LADBROKE HALL
Join us for an exclusive tour of David Adjaye’s inaugural exhibition at Carpenters Workshop Gallery’s new space in Ladbroke Hall, in the heart of Notting Hill.
The new gallery space is spread over three floors and offers a vast 6,000 square feet of exhibition space, making it one of the largest design galleries in London. Designed by the acclaimed architect David Chipperfield, the space combines historic features with contemporary design elements to create a unique and immersive experience for visitors.
The gallery will host exhibitions, talks, workshops, and immersive installations, showcasing the work of established and emerging contemporary designers such as Nacho Carbonell and Maarten Baas.
The gallery opens with award-winning Ghanaian-British architect David Adjaye’s exhibition Yaawa.
‘An essay in material amplitude, formal restraint, and sculptural utility, the Monoforms series champions elemental purity within a cohesive line of eight bronze cast signature pieces. Each presenting a geometrically fluid version of archetypal furniture staples, the collection pulls focus back to the properties of its material, its textural variances, capabilities, surface character, and dexterity.’
